David Luiz has celebrated winning the Premier League by presenting the Chelsea squad, head coach Antonio Conte and owner Roman Abramovich with luxury gifts worth over £1million.

Central defender Luiz commissioned a special set of 30 Senturion keys, which are billed as ‘the ultimate status symbol for supercar owners’, for the Premier League champions.

Luiz handed the gifts out to his Chelsea team-mates at the club’s Cobham training ground on Friday, ahead of the final game of the season against Sunderland on Sunday.

The Brazilian customised his own Senturion key to feature solid 18-carat handcrafted rose gold and 198 black diamonds, and opted to synchronise it with his Mercedes AMG G Wagon.

But he saved the most special thank you for billionaire Abramovich, whose key is described as being forged from a 4.9 billion-year-old meteorite which makes it older than planet Earth.

A press release on Luiz’s gift boasted: “Senturion is an ultra-luxury wrist-wear which is the ultimate status symbol for supercar owners as the keys they wear on their wrist are more expensive than most cars, with prices starting at £38,000 and going into six figures for bespoke pieces.”

With the keys capable of syncing with supercars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley, Rolls Royce and McLaren, it remains to be seen whether Footballer of the Year N’Golo Kante can make use of his gift.

Midfielder Kante still drives a Mini to Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, much to the amusement of his team-mates and club staff.

Senturion’s Director of Communications, Ayla Varquin said: “It was very generous of David to commission special Senturion pieces for his team-mates and while normally we produce editions of only 7 pieces, in this case it was our pleasure to create a custom edition of 30 for his Chelsea team-mates.”

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is believed to have spent over £800,000 on commemorative rings he bought his team-mates after the 2012 Champions League success.
